The shared danger
That label treats need as an individual pathology to be corrected so people fit the system. Across the readings, the shape is the same: institutions hold the map (surveillance asymmetry), platforms invert value outward while extracting rent, protocols are governed by factions not the people who live under them, and “invisible” workers fall outside the old safety net.
The opposite design is problem-posing and praxis: dialogue that builds critical awareness, then reflection and action so people become beings for themselves inside a solidarity network — not deposits in a paternalistic apparatus.
